Users review: I thought this was Woody Allen's best film in years. The screenplay was written better than I expected of him at this point, because he is the latest revolution in the drama, and laugh often derived from a lot of dark humor in situations, characters from snappy punchlines. Glory to Cate Blanchett, who turns outstanding performance, the actors sometimes broadly interpreted Woody's neurotic character comedy effect, more in the way Woody would play the role (think Judy Davis), but Cate very effective to call it directly, and my guess is the next shell to take home the Best Actor Oscar. For me the biggest surprise Andrew Dice Clay, who gives a surprisingly nuanced performance of working-class guy who is bitter screwed over by the big shots, and in some ways his character morally anchors the film. Good work, Woody. |
