Users review: After stating that the girl with the Dragon Tattoo had access to English-language film treatment, I decided that the hype is built up to the point where I just had to read the source material for yourself. Though not spotless, Dragon Tattoo is the best story and key messages to raise awareness about violence against women. Just days after finishing the book I watched the Swedish film. Hype train had me excited for best thriller. hype train let me down.I was left cold and somewhat annoyed by the Swedish adaptation. ton of important elements of the plot is left out, some inexplicably added (Blomkvists memories of the island is far too important and contrived), and Rapace felt all wrong as Lisbeth. He was brilliant and violence, but lacked stability pensiveness nature. He did not come off as autistic and feel disturbed, just bratty and rude. Worst of all, I was often confused and very rushed, strange new take on the story. As a lover of foreign films, usually grinding my teeth when I heard that the U.S. is developing a remake. However, I found myself desperate for one. I need a movie that really gave me the experience of reading the book for the first time, made me important for Lisbeth and that really disturbed me. No, the American adaptation (not a remake) delivered exactly what I was looking for. People who say this version is necessary or arrange seen different Swedish Girl with the Dragon Tattoo than I see. Take the U.S. jam-filled scenes that become either skim or completely left out of the Swedish version. However, despite being more stable, English-language Dragon Tattoo is incredibly speed, feel less rushed than hitting all the important plot points. These characters have time to develop and grow with you, trace-discovery makes more sense and is more terrifying killer. Knowing screenwriter Zaillian exactly what to leave out and what to change (although the latter, which mirrors last book, they can order the best). Craig, Mara, and even Plummer are spot-on in their roles and feel more fleshed-out characters. Once, in particular, sit Larssons Lisbeth in a way Rapace does not. He takes Lisbeths quiet, borderline disease completely original. His body fragile and guest appearances even match the description of the book. He allows himself to be vulnerable, but obviously regret it after some time. Performance.If captivating people had to ask myself, which version to see, I would say without hesitation that this is a rare instance where the American adaptation is better. I did not think it was possible to stay so true to the story in under three hours. |
